Shady Cove Uninstalled

Postby ns7r on Sat Jan 16, 2010 2:04 pm

Hello everyone,
Just an informational to let you all know that the Sawyer Hill Repeater, 146.960 is now uninstalled. It cost $100 a year and it was decided that it was not needed anymore. The equipment will probably find a better home up north sometime...

Chris,
You can take the box off the repeater list now I guess. Oh and I noticed that Flounce Rock is not working for a few months along with Johns Peak. Are they also uninstalled or are they broke?

While I was snowbirding, I noticed that the Shady Cove Repeater became a thing of the past. Mention was made that it cost $100./year. My first thought was to install it at my house, about ¼ mile west of Sawyer, at about the same elevation. $100//year is something that I was willing to live with. Too bad I didn't have consistent Wifi while on this trip to allow me to contact Chris before it was too late.
With the 5.41 machine not working, this Shady Cove area has no coverage of any kind. Too bad.
